MMA NEWS NOW: "Senate stops Medicare cut by veto-proof margin"
Top Stories | July 10, 2008
In a dramatic vote, the Senate Wednesday passed HR 6331, a bill already passed by the House, which halts an impending 10.6 percent cut in Medicare payments to physicians.
Besides halting the 10.6 percent Medicare cuts, HR 6331 offers significant incentives for e-prescribing.
The 155th Annual Meeting of the Minnesota Medical Association will be held September 17-19 in St. Paul.
July 19 is the deadline for volunteering for MMA committee membership.
Nominations are still being accepted for this important award.
