The continuing medical education mission of the Minnesota Medical Association is to improve the delivery of health care, to help ensure a healthy practice environment and preserve the professionalism of medicine through excellence in the principles and practices of continuing medical education for physicians in Minnesota.

The MMA is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) as a provider of CME activities. As a CME provider, the MMA may sponsor CME activities or may jointly sponsor activities with non-accredited organizations.

The CME Joint sponsorship program supports the MMA mission by making CME activities available to physicians who might not otherwise be able to claim category 1 credit for attending activities presented by non-accredited organizations.
