Health department awards reform contract to ICSI
MINNEAPOLIS, November 24, 2008—The Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) last week awarded a contract to the Institute for Clinical Systems Improvement (ICSI) for working on an element of health care reform.
The Bloomington organization is to provide recommendations on outcomes or goals for health care homes, which were called for by 2008 legislation. Health care homes are providers that coordinate care over time for patients with serious or chronic conditions.
Work by ICSI is to be completed by Dec. 31. Recommendations were due to MDH and the Minnesota Department of Human Services on Friday, Oct. 31.
