MINNEAPOLIS, October 16, 2008—Once again the MMA is partnering with the Wisconsin Medical Society to bring you the 2009 CPT updates.

This year, however, the updates will be offered in a series of three lunch and learn teleconferences. This format will enable all the coders in your office to hear the changes for one low price.

Each teleconference will be 1 ½ hours long, and will focus on a specific area of change. Dial in for one or all three and learn what codes are new, revised and deleted for 2009.

There are over 50 changes to E&M codes, the surgery section has over 100 new and revised codes, the medicine section and Category II codes are also heavily impacted. Prepare early to avoid claim errors in January.
