Gala event: "Who Says Public Health Can’t Be Fun?"
MINNEAPOLIS, April 3, 2008—The University of Minnesota School of Public Health is holding an event on Thursday, April 10, for anyone who wants to celebrate being a public health professional.
The event will be held at Nicollet Island Pavilion at 40 Power Street in Minneapolis, starting at 6 p.m.
Speaking will be former U.S. Surgeon General Richard Carmona, who has never shied away from controversy.
The evening will also be an opportunity to network with colleagues, greet old friends, and enjoy a sumptuous dinner.
Nearly all of the proceeds from the $55 ticket price will go toward a newly established alumni scholarship for School of Public Health students.
