Final state recommendations on MRSA are available
MINNEAPOLIS, January 16, 2008—The Minnesota Department of Health has released final recommendations for the prevention and control of methicillin-resistant staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) in acute care settings.
The Minnesota Legislature passed a law in the 2007 session instructing the MDH to develop recommendations, to be presented to the Legislature by January 15, 2008. The report was created to enhance rather than duplicate existing recommendations and guidelines for MRSA control.
MDH is planning to conduct webinars to present the recommendations and to answer questions. Dates will be posted on the MMA website.
