'Demystifying E-Prescribing' set for December 2
MINNEAPOLIS, November 17, 2008—The Minnesota Chapter of HIMSS (Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society) will present "Demystifying E-Prescribing," on December 2 at 5:30 p.m.
It will be presented in the Minnesota Room, Allina Commons, at 2925 Chicago Ave, Minneapolis, and by simultaneous teleconference in Christensen Lecture Hall at Mayo Clinic in Rochester.

Two legislative mandates specific to e-prescribing will be discussed: the upcoming 2009 CMS mandate and the 2011 Minnesota mandate. Payers, providers and pharmaceuticals will gain a basic understanding of e-prescribing, the development work required, and Medicare's proposed incentives and disincentives.
