Physician Career Center: A year of placing great good doctors
MINNEAPOLIS, August 20, 2008—The Physician Career Center, the online resource for physicians looking for work (and for clinics looking to hire top physicians) celebrates its first birthday September 7.
Physician Career Center is one of the most-visited pages on the MMA's website. This past year almost 2,000 physicians and clinics checked in to see what the job market was like, and what kinds of candidates were available.
Physician Career Center originated on the first MMA website, which listed job openings in bulletin-board fashion. When the MMA updated its website, it decided to make it a true interactive marketplace, where physicians could post their resumes and clinics and hospitals could post their openings -- and the two groups could meet in the middle.
Physicians appreciate that they can maintain their anonymity, so not everyone knows they are looking for another position. And employers both here in Minnesota and in places around the country like having access to some of America's top physicians.
Come help celebrate the Physician Career Center's first year of operation this month. Visit the site, browse the job list, register and take part in the action.
