Dalai Lama to take part in Mayo workshop
MINNEAPOLIS, April 8, 2008—The Dalai Lama will take part in a classroom workshop this month with Mayo Clinic employees.
The Tibetan leader will discuss the scientific and clinical applications of meditation on April 16.
The Dalai Lama will appear on a panel with Mayo chief executive officer Glenn Forbes and author and "emotional intelligence" authors and psychologist Daniel Goleman.
The 72-year-old religious leader visited Rochester on April 17, 2006 for a medical checkup. He spoke at that time on "Compassion and Suffering."
