The MMA uses committees and task forces to develop much of its policy positions. Standing committees have defined areas of responsibilities (e.g., finance) and members are appointed for three- year terms. Ad hoc committees and task forces study specific topics for a short time (e.g., a few months) and then disband.

In addition to the list of committees and task forces we have included a list of topics that currently are or may become areas of activity for the MMA. If you have an interest or expertise in any of these areas and would consider serving on an MMA committee or task force if this topic is studied, please check-off that item. If the MMA addresses one of the issues, your name may be forwarded for consideration of appointment.

Checking an item does not obligate you in any way—you can make a decision to serve at the time you are asked when you have more information about the actual work involved.
