The Minnesota Medical Association held the MMA 2005 Annual Meeting from Sept. 15 to Sept. 16 in Minneapolis.
The meeting, the 152nd in the MMA's history, featured meetings of the MMA House of Delegates and reference committees, MEDPAC's Annual Meeting, component medical society caucuses, the AMA Delegation meeting, an awards presentation, and the inauguration of the new MMA president.
Attendees elected the MMA's new officers and voted on reports and resolutions.
The Annual Meeting was held at the Marriott City Center, which is located in downtown Minneapolis.

Reports and Resolutions
Read the reports and resolutions submitted to the MMA House of Delegates. Resolutions had to be submitted by members of the House of Delegates, members of the Board of Trustees, component medical societies, specialty societies represented on the Council of Specialty Society Presidents, committees or sections of the association.
Awards
Awards were presented at the MMA Awards Lunch. The awards available include the Community Service Award, "Stop The Violence" Award, Physician Communicator Award, Excellence in Medical Journalism Award, Sova Award, the MMA Medical Student Section's Medical Student Award, and Minority Service Award.
